The PSP Association, although based in the UK, provides support to people with PSP or CBD across the world. We currently have subscribers in some 36 countries outside of the UK and Ireland.

There are also other PSP Associations or contact groups across the world that visitors to this website may wish to join if they are nearer to home:

If you wish to join us (and some people join more than one organisation), we would provide:
A telephone or e-mail helpline to a PSP Nurse Specialist to advise you, or anyone directly caring for someone with PSP or CBD.

A comprehensive Carer's Information Pack, giving practical advice to assist with caring. The core of the information is how best to manage the symptoms and other problems that may arise as PSP or CBD progresses.

A Guide to PSP and CBD that you could give to any Health Professionals caring for the person with PSP or CBD. This provides an overview of the disease and the support that may be needed.

A copy of PSP Matters, The PSP Association's magazine published three times a year, which provides a summary of worldwide research into PSP and articles on practical care issues.

Upon request, we would also provide:

  • Access to over 20 Support Groups throughout the UK and Ireland.  If you have UK-based family or friends, they are most welcome to attend.  If you provide a name and address, we will send them invitations.
  • Contact with any other PSP Association subscribers who live in your country.
  • Direct contact to your doctor or any other healthcare professionals, upon your request,  to offer any further information that they might need.
  • An invitation to our annual Symposium for carers and therapists, held in the UK, that provides a full day of medical briefings and updates on care issues.

We also have the largest database of people with PSP in the world, and should we be asked for suitable people with PSP to join a research programme, then we would contact you and ask if you wish to be considered.

To join The PSP Association from overseas, our annual individual subscription is £25 per year if you are within Europe, or £40 from elsewhere.
