Our People

The PSP Association was formed in 1994, since when it has grown into a significant charity with a turnover in 2007 in the order of one million pounds. A key to this growth has been our people. We have been remarkably fortunate with our patronage, our trustees, our Medical Advisory Panel and our office team. The PSP Association’s Patron since 1997, HRH The Duchess of Gloucester GCVO, plays an active role in supporting the Association. Lord Guthrie has recently taken over as President from Lord Bramall, and we are fortunate to have Professor Colin Blakemore, CEO of the Medical Research Council, and Lord (Seb) Coe as Vice Presidents.

Our Trustees, now under the chairmanship of our former Chief Executive, Brigadier Michael Koe, have played an active role in the Association’s growth and we have a distinguished Medical Advisory Panel, chaired by Professor Andrew Lees, who have guided our successful research programme to date. Our office team works to support patients, carers and other medical professionals, and fundraises to enable the objectives of the Association to be met.
